Valentine's Day

In February, floral freight activity reaches its peak, with 13,850 tons of flowers in just four weeks.

Cut flowers, mainly roses (80%), arrive in Liège from all over the world before heading to the Netherlands or other countries.

These shipments are subject to numerous checks by the FASFC.

New Swissport refrigerated freight center

In the summer of 2025, Swissport inaugurated a new refrigerated center for perishable goods, particularly cut flowers. This warehouse has a capacity of 40 cargo units (ULD), equivalent to the capacity of a full aircraft, and maintains the cold chain between 2°C and 8°C.

The company has three other airside refrigerators: one at a maximum of 3°C (fish), one between 2 and 8°C (pharmaceutical certified), and one between 15 and 25°C.

Swissport Liege handles 400,000 tons of cargo per year.
